I feel for Joe. McCain picked the wrong Joe to make
an example. The media pushes hard for stories like this. It was expected
that they would find trash to make into a story. In the end, I think McCain
was ultimately responsible for exposing Joe's life to the world.

Re: Washington Wire - WSJ.com : Joe the Plumber’s 15 Minutes of Fame

It isn't hilarious. It is sad. It is sad the way the media is trying to destroy Samuel "Joe" Wurzelbacher. "Joe" will "qualify for a variety of tax cuts" until he is licensed, buys the business, and turns it into a job producing capitalist machine, hiring more than just apprentices like himself. The media has turned over every stone in Joe's life looking for ways to discredit him: divorce records, tax liens, etc. Pathetic. Hypothetical or real, there is nothing wrong with the questions Joe asked Obama. Remember learning in school, "There is no such thing as a stupid question"? I guess that just depends on who you ask.

Owning a business is no "fantasy" as the media says... well, at least, under the capitalist ideas of the pre-2009 US, owning a business was not a fantasy. I shutter to think how that could change, and how quickly that could change... I mean, how quickly we can loose our freedoms.

I wonder how those licensed, unionized plumbers in Ohio received training? Possibly by working with a licensed plumber?
